The Online Framing Program only implements the standard rectangular mat style. The following other options are only available on request and to special custom framed jobs.

Mats - Implementation

The Online Framing Program makes it easy to choose the number of mats and colours that are desired to make your framed design look outstanding.

Choosing the number and colours are entirely up to you however the Online Framing Program assists you by maintaining your design to calculated proportions, that take into account the size of the print/photo, the number of mats, the size and even the profile width of the frames selected. This will ensure that your framed design will look visually attractive and is of high quality.

Photo Size: 10"x8" (Common Portrait Size)

Single Mat
Frame Size: 13"x16"

Double Mat
Frame Size: 13"x16"

Triple Mat
Frame Size: 16"x20"

For a photo that is 10"x8" (the most common size) the Online Framing Program selects a 13"x16" frame for both Single and Double Mat's as its minimum frame size.

If Triple Mats are selected the Online Framing Program will automatically change the frame size to a new minimum and for this example a 13"x16" is the most suited frame size.

For the Triple Mat the White Mat is referred to as the Top Mat, the Dark Purple is referred to as the Middle Mat whilst the Light Purple is referred to as the Bottom Mat.
